Grossi cafe Ombra using cage wall lamps

Grossi cafe Ombra using cage wall lamps

Introducing Guy Grossi’s latest venture ‘Ombra’ – a traditional Italian salumi bar at 76 Bourke St, Melbourne. Specialising in the highest quality ‘cured’ meats, the food is inspired by the ‘Salumerie’ (delicatessens) of Italy and their influence is abundant with a great selection of  cheese, fish, vege’s, pizza and pickles accompanied by an impressive ‘drinks list’. Craig Gorman of Mills Gorman Architects placed our wall mounted lamps on a padded leather feature wall, reminiscent “an old car seat”. Another product we supplied that assisted in the functional use of their rare and rustic shades was our factory lamp holder kit which enabled them to to retro fit edison bulbs into the shades.

Used in conjunction with distressed wall finishes, raw wood textures, brass edging and the golden glow of our edison lighting and cages the cafe is warm and inviting, it echoes the style of southern Europe… and that for inspiration is obviously close to the heart.
