Brass Allthread nipple 1/8IPS is hollow tube turned lighting thread made for various lighting requirements. These are supplied to make connection to the 1/8IPS entry at the top of light globe sockets so firm connection to other hardware can be achieved.

When using our plumbing pipe components the length required may vary but this brass can be cut down to suit. 1/8IPS hex nuts and star washers are also available here. To connect to our plumbing pipe coupler a 1/2″ length is all that is required but you should glue this thread into the pipe coupler with Loctite threadlocker. The socket thread has a grub screw that will lock the thread to the socket. This is important since it should not be possible to inadvertently unscrew the socket whilst removing the globe, especially when there is a globe that may be jammed or damaged.

To use with our shade ring type socket and a 1/2″ to 1 1/4″ reducing plumbing fitting you will require a longer brass allthread of around 3″ that will go from the socket through the coupler and hex nipple.
